Ultimo Couture SS11 Collection oozes red carpet glamour

For Spring Summer 2011, Ultimo Couture presents a collection of four dresses inspired by the original glamour and allure of Hollywood. The latest collection, available in sizes 8-18, will on sale now in selected Debenhams stores and online at http://www.ultimo.co.uk

Created by Ultimo founder Michelle Mone OBE and designed by Brian Rennie, former creative director of luxury fashion house Escada, the showstopping new collection is sophisticated and elegant, awash with superluxe fabrics and stunning draping to enhance the silhouette.

Ruched hand-draped taffeta adds whimsy to the collection with Jessica, a frothy blackcurrant mini-dress (£250), accessorized with diamanté straps and handmade fabric roses adorning the skirt. Perfect for a cocktail party or girls night out, this playful dress is a fabulously feminine piece with a gorgeous textural twist.

Ultimo Couture’s plunging strapless raspberry dress, Victoria (£200) is an artful cocktail choice, crafted from iridescent crushed taffeta. A beautifully bold party piece, this silhouette-sculpting dress is given a contemporary finish with its cut-out draped bodice that elegantly highlights the cleavage.

A glamorous, iridescent finish makes ‘Grace’, Ultimo Couture’s teal taffeta cocktail dress (£225) a super feminine style that will illuminate the red carpet. Finished with a sparkling crystal embellishment and a softly draped pleat bodice, this gown is a spectacular black-tie choice and the perfect modern classic.

“For this collection, we took a lot of inspiration from the silver screen goddesses who influenced fashion in the Hollywood Golden Age, such as Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth and Ava Gardner. We wanted each of the dresses to make a dramatic statement and offer women a classic look straight off of the red carpet, but with a modern twist.”

Michelle Mone OBE said; “Last year was tough for everyone, so we wanted to clear the decks and bring glamour back. A floor-sweeping gown or a cute mini-dress is the dual face of evening glamour and this collection offers women both of those things, as well as incredible comfort and support.”

When you buy any of these dresses from Ultimo online, you will receive not only FREE DELIVERY, but also a custom dress bag with your order to keep your dress looking perfect.

Michelle Mone, creator of Ultimo and Ultimo Couture Bridal, said;

“What we have achieved with Ultimo Couture Bridal is incredible; despite the fact that the dresses are highly affordable, there has been no compromise on quality, elegance or style. I’m extremely excited about the collection and I’m sure brides-to-be will be too when the dresses go on sale in January. All of the designs are sophisticated, timeless and modern, as well as being thoroughly affordable priced from just £300.”

The collection showcases three designs, including an ivory strapless gown and a stunning crystal bodice gown. Michelle showcases Ultimo Couture!

Michelle Mone OBE has been giving us a sneak preview of Ultimo Couture gowns that are set to hit the high street in 2011!

Michelle in Ultimo CoutureAs spotted at the Marion Rose Ball for Children with leukemia, and the Pride of Britain Awards, Michelle looks fantastic in some of our beautiful new evening gowns.  These are the first Ultimo creations of our Creative Director Brian Rennie who began earlier this year.

Brian, 44, is one of the world’s top fashion designers and was previously the designer behind legendary fashion house Escada. Brian spent 20 years with the luxury brand and whilst there created dresses for some of the world’s most beautiful women including Beyoncé, J-Lo, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jerry Hall.

Born in Dundee, Brian studied at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design in Kent, before completing a Master of Design degree at the Royal College of Art in London. Brian joins MJM International this week and will head up the design and product development of all Ultimo Couture collections.

Brian Rennie said;

“It’s really exciting to be part of the Ultimo Team. With my 25 years of experience in luxury fashion and Michelle’s amazing retail and business acumen, I really believe we can turn Ultimo Couture into one of the biggest womenswear brands in the country.

“The most exciting element of my new role is the fact that the dresses will be available on the high street. Each design will be every inch as exquisite as the dresses I’ve created for the likes of Mariah Carey, Halle Berry and Kim Basinger, but just without the enormous price tag.

He added;

“Creating a collection of glamorous red carpet gowns that are both accessible and affordable is an exciting concept and I can’t wait to get to work on the next collection.”

The stunning new collection is coming to a store near you in the New Year.  Keep checking back for all updates on the new collection!
